One of the most important goals at Xinuos is to provide excellent products and services to our customers. We believe it is a top priority to allocate resources to continually enhance and update our most current releases while continuing to maintain older releases of these products.
As part of this enhancement and update strategy, older products are retired as they reach the end of their life cycle. Limiting support on retired products enables Xinuos Engineering and Technical Support to focus on its current range of products.
Furthermore, while Xinuos will support and maintain both Release N and N-1 of both OpenServer and UnixWare, Xinuos will only add feature enhancements to Release N. This means that while Xinuos will continue to provide ongoing maintenance on older releases, Xinuos will only:
- Add new features to
- Issue new Drivers for
- Certify new Servers with the most current releases of UnixWare and OpenServer.
Xinuos Products are usually supported for periods of up to 14 months after Xinuos issues a Product Retirement announcement. Product Retirement Announcements are issued at least 60 days before the product becomes retired. When the Product Retirement announcement is issued, Xinuos Services will post a retirement date next to the product and release. This notice gives customers utilizing these products ample time to upgrade or renew their existing support agreement. Once a product is retired customers can refer to the list below for the recommended upgrade path.
