Q. I just purchased OpenServer 5,
UnixWare 7, or Open UNIX 8 media; where do I find my license?
A. OpenServer 5, UnixWare 7, and Open UNIX 8 product
licenses are purchased separately from the software media package.
When you purchased the software, you should have also purchased
the necessary product licenses.
If you need to purchase SCO commerical licenses for your
UNIX system, you will need to contact a SCO
Authorized Reseller. If there is no SCO Reseller located
in your geographic area, please call 1-800-726-8649 or, for
international callers, 1-801-765-4999 to be referred to the
closest SCO Reseller in your area. Or contact your local
SCO sales office.

Q. What constitutes valid proof of purchase?
A. Either the Sales Invoice that you received
when you purchased your product or your Registration Confirmation
constitute valid proof of purchase. These documents include
the name of the product(s) in question and the company name
to which the product was sold/registered. It is important to
retain a copy of these documents for your records. If, at some
point, you need to replace a lost license, you will be required
to provide one of these documents as proof of purchase.

Q. Why won't the License Manager accept my license information?
A. Make sure that you read the license correctly. Occasionally,
characters on the license are difficult to read. In particular,
be especially careful of the number 1 (one) as opposed to the
letter l (L), q (Q) as opposed to g (G), and 0 (zero) as opposed to O (letter).

Q. Why won't the License Manager accept my registration
key?
A. If the Registration Key is invalid or was entered
incorrectly, an error message appears. Verify that you entered
the Registration Key correctly and that you did not type the
System ID by mistake. If you continue to experience difficulties, submit your information using the Contact SCO link HERE or at the bottom of the page. Then, make sure to select "Lost/Replacement Licenses " under "Choose Category".

Q. I have reinstalled my system. Why won't my registration
key work?
A. If you are installing a SCO UNIX product, your
System ID# will have changed. Please re-register your product
using the new SCO System ID# and the system will regenerate
a new registration key for you. The System ID# and the product
license are used together to create a unique registration key.
