It includes programs, products, services and a web site filled with up-to-date technical documentation for existing and emerging Xinuos technologies.

Who should join the Xinuos Developer Network?

The program is open to all individuals and organizations developing for Xinuos's software and hardware platforms for resale, educational use, or for the Open Source community.

How much does it cost to join the Xinuos Developer Network?

There is no fee to join the program.

Once I submit my online application, how will I be notified that I am a member?

You will be notified via email that your application has been received and you are a member of the Xinuos Developer Network. The email will include your username and password, which lets you access the private Developer Lounge.

Why do I need a username and password?

Several benefits of the developer network are only accessible online with your username and password. Some of these benefits include purchasing Xinuos development products at a substancial discount, placing your product listings in the Xinuos Applications and Hardware Directories and free technical resources.

How do I renew my membership in the Xinuos Developer Network?

You can renew your membership by logging into the Developer Lounge and clicking on "Update Your Profile" link. You will need your username and password to renew your membership.

My company already has a membership. Do I need to register for another membership or can I be added as an additional contact to their account?

You may be added as an additional contact for your company. To do so, please send the additional contact information to developer@sco.com.

I have lost or forgotten my Xinuos Developer Program username and password. What can I do?

Go to the login screen and click on the "Forget Your Password" link. You will be requested to enter your username in the space provided. Your password will be sent to you immediately via the email address under which you are a registered partner.

What do I do if the Xinuos Developer Lounge doesn't accept my password and username?

Click on the "Forget Your Password" link. You will be requested to enter your username in the space provided. Your password will be sent to you immediately via the email address under which you are a registered partner.

Are my username and password case sensitive?

Yes, your username and password are case sensitive

My contact information has changed. How can I update my record?

Log into the Lounge, and click on the "Update Your Profile" link.

How can I change the name of the contact person who receives mailings and emails?

Log into the Lounge, and click on the "Update Your Profile" link. Once you have successfully logged into the lounge, you can change the contact information for your company.

What happens if I let my membership expire?

You will be unable to access password protected areas of the developer lounge. The password protected areas allow developers to purchase Xinuos development product at a discount, as well as access free technical resources. To renew your membership, log into the Lounge, and click on the "Update Your Profile" link.


Applications Directory

What is the Xinuos Applications Directory?

The Xinuos Applications Directory is a comprehensive guide containing third-party hardware and software products and services available on the Xinuos platform. Every Xinuos developer and partner with a commercial software product or service related to Xinuos is encouraged to provide a listing for this valuable customer resource.

What are the requirements for listing my products in the Applications Directory?

Your company must be a member of the Xinuos Developer Network and your product or service must be related to the Xinuos platform.

How many products may I list in the directory?

There is currently no limit to the number of products and services you may list in the Applications Directory.

Are developers charged a fee for listing their product(s) in the Applications Directory?

There is no fee charged for listing your products or services in the Applications Directory.


Online Shopping Cart in the Developer Lounge

What is the online Shopping Cart?

The online shopping cart allows you to purchase development software directly from Xinuos at significant discounts using a credit card.

What should I do if I want to purchase a product that isn't available from the shopping cart?

Please send an email to developer@sco.com and let us know what you need.

My credit card order is not going through. Who should I contact?

Please send an email to developer@sco.com so we can solve the problem for you.

How does Xinuos protect my credit card?

When you purchase products from our online store we establish a "secure session" using the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. This protocol lets you securely pass information between systems by creating a private conversation that only your computer and Xinuos systems can understand (called "public key cryptography").

Members of the Xinuos Developer Network have access to many support offerings. Our offerings include access to our online knowledge center, support mailing list, and developer-to-developer discussion forum at no cost. Developer support, engineering, and professional services contracts are also available.
