UnixWare 7 Loadtest Suite
The loadtests package contains
the UnixWare 7 Loadtest Suite that exercises a computer system under
a heavy load. The suite is executed using
loadtests(1Mcert),
an interactive shell script.
Previous versions of this suite were called hcptest,
which is still the name of the script on OpenServer 5
systems.
This package is otherwise unchanged since HDK Release 7.0.0.

They are also available on your local system when the
baseMAN, HDKdoc, and HDKman
packages are installed.

This package has the following dependencies:

The following packages must be installed on your
UnixWare 7 systems before running these tests:
- usoftint

Software Packaging Tools (included with the UDK)
- cmds

Advanced Commands
This package cannot be installed on OpenServer systems.
Similar tests are provided for OpenServer in the O5hcptest
package.
Installation
To install the package from:
downloaded files
- Log in as root.
- Download the package to an installation directory; for
example,
/tmp.
- Use the
http://uw714doc.sco.com/en/man/html.1M/pkgadd.1M.html>pkgadd(1M)
command to install it by entering:
- pkgadd -d /tmp/loadtests
media distribution
- Log in as root.
- Insert the CD-ROM in the drive
- Use the
pkgadd(1M)
command to install it by entering:
- pkgadd -d cdrom1 loadtests

Note the following limitations for this release:

This loadtest suite does not put much load on very large servers.
